Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 23, 2026 · Effective: April 23, 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow sites to remember information between pages and visits. CV-Spark uses a minimal set of cookies strictly necessary for the Service to function.

2. Cookies We Use

3. Cookies We Do NOT Use

  • Advertising or retargeting cookies (e.g. Facebook Pixel, Google Ads)
  • Cross-site tracking cookies
  • Profiling or fingerprinting cookies
  • Any cookie that stores or shares your CV content or personal data

4. Third-Party Cookies

Google Analytics sets _ga and _gid cookies to count site visits in aggregate. IP addresses are anonymised before processing. We do not share this data or use it for advertising. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Payment pages embed PayPal/Stripe session cookies solely to process your transaction. These are cleared when you close the checkout.

5. Your Choices

Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for the Service to work (login, consent storage). You can:

  • Block cookies in your browser: All major browsers allow you to block or delete cookies in their settings. This may prevent login and consent from working correctly.
  • Opt out of Google Analytics: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Clear your consent cookie: Clearing your browser's local storage will remove your stored AI processing consent, prompting you to re-consent on your next CV upload.

6. Legal Basis

Essential cookies are set on the basis of legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) — they are strictly necessary for the Service. Analytics cookies are set on the basis of legitimate interest using anonymised data with no personal identifiers. No consent banner is currently shown for analytics as no personal data is involved; we will review this as regulations evolve.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we introduce new cookies (e.g. advertising), we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your explicit consent before setting them. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
